Terms
The agreement between you and us. Last updated 27 August 2026. By making an account you agree to it.
What Acreage Guardian is
A planning tool. It reads the weather for where you live, keeps a record of your property and your animals, and tells you what is worth doing this week. It reminds you about the things that come round once a year and are easy to forget.
What it is not
It is not a vet. When you describe something wrong with an animal it gives you possibilities to consider and what to look at to tell them apart — never a diagnosis, and never a medicine or a dose. Some descriptions stop it answering at all and send you straight to a vet, and when it does that, ring one. Nothing here replaces a person who can put their hands on the animal.
It is not legal or fire-safety permission. Burn windows, fire danger and council rules are there to help you plan. Permits and fire bans come from your council, your state fire service, or your county — never from us, and a quiet fire-danger rating is not permission to light anything.
It is not a chemical label. When you photograph a product we transcribe what is printed on it. Read the actual label before you use anything, and follow it rather than us.
Boundaries come from state land registries. They are the surveyed record and are usually right, but they are not a survey and they do not settle a fence dispute.
Paying
One plan: 39 a month, or 349 a year, in your local currency. The first 30 days are free. We take a card when you start so nothing has to change when the trial ends, and the first charge is on day 31.
Cancel any time, from your account. Cancelling stops the next charge — you keep access until the end of the period you have already paid for, and we do not pro-rate a part month.
90-day money-back guarantee. If it has not paid for itself in your first 90 days of being charged, email us and we will refund that quarter in full. No conditions and no argument.
Prices can change, but never for you while you stay subscribed. If we raise the price it applies to new customers, and we will say so.
Your information is yours
Everything you put in — your property, your animals, your records and photographs — belongs to you. Ask and we will send you a copy, or delete the lot. We do not sell it. What we do with it is set out on the privacy page.
We use it to run the service for you, which includes sending what you ask us to send — an animal’s history to your vet, for instance, when you choose to.
Using it sensibly
One subscription covers one property and up to 10people on it. Don’t share a login beyond the people working your place, don’t try to break or overload the service, and don’t upload anything you have no right to.
We can suspend an account that is doing any of that. If we do, we will tell you why.
When it doesn't work
We aim to keep it running and we cannot promise it always will. It depends on weather services, government data feeds and mapping services that occasionally go down, and rural reception is what it is — which is why the app is built to keep working offline and sync when you are back in range.
Where the law allows us to limit what we owe you if something goes wrong, our liability is limited to what you have paid us in the previous twelve months.
Rights we cannot take away
If you are in Australia, the Australian Consumer Law gives you guarantees that cannot be excluded by anything written here, and nothing on this page takes them away or limits them. If you are somewhere else, you keep whatever your own consumer law gives you. Anything above applies only as far as your law permits.
Ending it
You can close your account whenever you like. We can end this agreement if you break it, or if we stop offering the service — and if we stop, we will give you notice, refund what you have paid for time you will not get, and let you take your information with you.
Which law
This agreement is governed by the law of Queensland, Australia. That does not stop you bringing a claim where you live if your own law gives you that right.
Changes
If we change these terms in a way that matters, we will tell you before it takes effect rather than quietly updating the date at the top.
